9/11 Lesson

I wanted to do something with Cricket to teach her about 9/11, but I wasn't sure what would actually be age appropriate. I happened to see this flag project at Mama Jenn's blog that she had done for the pledge of allegiance. I thought creating and talking to Cricket about our flag would be a good way to honor this day.

Here is what we did. I started by accordion folding the paper for her to make it easier to tear

After she tore the strips she then tore one of them into smaller pieces for the stars. Then she got to glue.

Here is our finished project. I know it's nothing special, but it seemed like a nice way to remember this day.
